Impressions of President Obama Shift, either for the same person, or for a set of individuals, depending on the time, the place, The Issue, and its context.

     Are we, African Americans, better offthan we  were when President Obama took office in 2009? Answering that question provides the opportunity to separate emotion from fact. Much as weenjoy President Obama's swaggering gait through the highest corridors of power, has that visceral joy resulted in anything more that emotional (and perhaps irrational) moments of pride?
